Brian Edmonds, Co-Founder
@ 288 - Brian focuses on daily operations, partner relations, and business development
Brian co-founded the 288 Group with the mission of delivering strategic consulting, event management, and business development support. Guided by his personal passion, 288's earliest efforts were rooted in opportunities within sports and entertainment marketing.
A resident of Richmond, VA, Brian managed the corporate development and sponsorship procurement efforts for the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) in support of the Conference’s twenty-one Championships and television partnerships with NBC Sports Network and Comcast SportsNet, from 2011-2015.
A graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Brian began his sports marketing career with Octagon, a global sports marketing company, based in McLean, VA. Brian’s role included the direction of corporate marketing initiatives for renowned athletes and personalities, including: John Elway, Mia Hamm, and David Robinson. Following his tenure at Octagon, Brian served as General Sales Manager for Virginia Sports Properties at the University of Virginia, and led the development of marketing and sales strategies for the John Paul Jones Arena.
Tracy Hale Clark
@288 – Tracy manages experiential activation, staff recruiting and partner relations.
Tracy inspires others to make things happen. She’s a proven leader in her local community and nationally. As Virginia Jaycee State President, JCI USA National Vice President and National Program Manager, she helped to grow membership, enhance the community, and develop future leaders within the organization. Her experience there fueled her love for community partnership development, fundraising, and volunteer management.
She’s a proven fundraiser and marketing talent. With the American Cancer Society, Regional Income Manager, she managed six staff members, 30 events, hundreds of volunteers, and an income goal of $3 million a year. She also served on numerous regional and divisional planning committees to develop fundraising best practices and lower overall expenses. From there, she spent almost 10 years with Turnkey Promotions developing solutions and initiatives to raise more money for over 200 local, regional, and national programs and more than one thousand events. Her clients included Alzheimer’s Association, American Lung Association, American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, Best Buddies International, Food Allergy Research & Education, JDRF, Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Special Olympics, and many others.
Tracy holds a Bachelors degree in Marketing from Virginia Commonwealth University and stays active by volunteering with local organizations, her church and inspiring others to dream big.
@ 288 - Sarah manages Event Strategy and Management
After graduating from North Carolina State University with a B.S. in Sport Management, Sarah started her career in Charlotte, NC at NASCAR, fundraising and event planning for their charitable arm, The NASCAR Foundation. After 2 years with NASCAR, she pursued a new opportunity with The Martin Agency, a full service advertising agency in her home state of Virginia.
For 3 years, Sarah led broadcast, digital, and print creative Project Management efforts for client's including Wal-Mart, Discover Card, and The United States Tennis Association. In 2013 Sarah moved on to expand her skill set and take on a client management role at a software and interactive training startup, Unboxed Technology. At Unboxed, Sarah grew from an Account Director to Client Engagement Director role heading up account services for her clients: Anthem, Time Warner Cable, and Owens & Minor.
In 2016, Sarah returned to her roots in sports and began consulting in business development, account management, event planning, and social media management for companies activating both national and local sport marketing partnerships.
